REGULAR MAINTENANCE FOR HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING
SYSTEMS
You may have heard the
expression "if it ain't broke don't try and fix it".
We ask, why not prevent it from breaking in the first place?
After all, if something is not well maintained or is only
serviced after "strange noises" are heard - you are probably
headed for an expensive repair. The same holds true for your
heating and air conditioning system.
Continued efficient operation of your heating and cooling
system requires good regular maintenance. Preventative
maintenance not only helps to ensure that your equipment
continues to operate properly but it also serves to help
maintain your equipments overall performance and system
efficiency as well as prolong the life expectancy.
No matter what type of heating and cooling system you
have, there are several things Ken Murray's Air Conditioning
and Heating can do to help keep your system in top
condition.
During the early fall, when the heating system is not
being used, our technicians routinely perform heating
equipment maintenance work, such as replacing filters,
ducts, and other parts of the system that may accumulate
dust and impurities during the operating season. During the
early spring and before the hot summer days, air conditioning mechanics will inspect the system
and perform any required maintenance.
Regular Maintenance Programs
Ken Murray's Air will prepare a maintenance program
for your heating, air conditioning or HVAC unit that
includes:
- Replacement of worn belts
- Air filter changes (may need to perform this
more often depending on the environment units
operate in)
- Inspection and adjustment of belts and
blower
- Inspection and lubrication of blower
bearings
- Verification of heating/cooling system
operability
- Cleaning condensation drain, trap, and pan
- Calibration of thermostat
- Cleaning evaporator and condenser coils
